Hello Mic, I will be honest with you and tell you my knowledge of these things is limited.

My best recommendation is that you ask in this forum

They are really knowledgable in there and helped me in the first instance when I first bought my netbook. I am sorry I cannot be of any help for you personally, but I don’t want to waste your time trying stuff when others on the forum may have a simple solution.

the problem, is that i have installed the latest drivers from intel, and i still only get 2.2 and 2.8.

Hello Mic, I at first got the 2.2 but then downloaded the newest drivers from the Intel website. As soon as I installed the drivers the score jumped right up again.

hi there, i8m just wondering how you got such high gfx scores, mine will only goto 2.2 for aero and 2.8 for gaming, even with the latest drivers from intel.

Hi Andy, Vista basic is not much different to Vista home to be honest and anything I need on the extremely rare occasion like DVD home movie creation I can use on the main laptop. Basic has no aero effects but I never really used them anyway – oh and in the forum I mentioned above, there are users there who have upgraded to Vista Home Premium, so it is capable of that aswell. It is an extremely capable netbook and I know it is on the expensive end of netbooks but you do get a lot.

It is also not far off of my HP tablet laptop:

Overall Score – 3.6
processor – 4.8
memory ram – 5.9
graphics – 3.6
gaming graphics – 3.8
hard disk – 5.4

That’s not a bad Windows Experience Score considering it’s “just a netbook” and that hard disk score is the same on my HP 6720s

Just as comparision here’s my scores

Processor: 4.9 (dual core centrino)
Memory: 4.7 (2gb RAM)
Graphics: 3.0
Gaming graphics: 3.3
Hard Disk: 5.3

By looking at that your netbook is a capable piece of kit

How you getting on with Vista Basic?

I’m not a fan but understand the price jump is prohibitive
