Wii Fit to Get Fit?

I stood on the scales today and shrieked with horror at how much I weighed. It does not help living above a sweet shop I tell you!

So I decided enough was enough otherwise I am just digging myself into an early grave. I must lose weight and of course alongside a low fat diet it has to be done with getting regular exercise. I find exercise utterly boring and need some kind of exercise to actually enjoy. So I went and bought myself a Wii Fit balance board. I reckon I must have lost 2lb in weight just by carrying the thing home.

So this is day one of my new “Weightwatchers Diet and Wii Fit Regime”. That was 10 hours ago, but I still have not taken it out of the box. :)

It is on my list of to-do’s for the morning. But I am determined to do this and I desperately need to lose weight so that is what I am going to do. I will be reporting updates maybe once or twice a week to let you know how it is all going.

My goal – To lose 4 stone.

Good luck with the weight loss Beck! The good thing with Wii Fit is that it encourages you to set realistic goals for weight loss, although you probably will want to do more exercise such as swimming or walking as well.

Hi Neil, Thanks for the encouragement.

I know that Wii Fit is not a full substitute for proper exercise, but it is a start. As I said above, I find exercise very boring so this may make it fun.

Swimming I know is very good for the body but I would feel uncomfortable in a swimming costume right now. Walking is also good, but you have to do a lot of walking in one session to have a positive effect. I simply do not have the time and the inclination to walk for 10 miles a day :)

But of course the most important thing here is to have the proper diet and not eat shit all day like I do normally. I will just eat low calorie shit instead :)

Have you got it out the box yet?

My parents got a balance board for their Wii! I was a bit rubbish at it though :-)

    Hi Andy,

I have got it out of the box and have used it on a few occasions but I am saddened to say my interest in it was not as hoped because the regime/games are pretty crap. I have however been doing my diet still and have lost 4lb, so all is not lost :-)
